Overview

International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) are financial reporting standards that are tailored to the specific accounting and financial reporting needs of national, regional and local governments, related governmental agencies, and the constituencies they serve. IPSAS are based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to the extent that the IFRS is relevant. In this course we give an overview of the state of the art of these standards and compare them with IFRS. The programme will be tailored to reflect the state of play at the course date,as it is subject to change following new developments and statements of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB).
