Overview

Introducing survival analysis, with hands-on applications with SPSS ® for Windows.
Prerequisite: Getting Started with SPSS®, and Introductory Statistics and Research Methods or equivalent.

What will I learn?

The aims of this course are:
To introduce the concepts and the methods commonly employed in analysing time-to-event data in a user-friendly manner
To demonstrate how the statistical package SPSS® can be used to analyse time-to-event data
By the end of this course, you should be able to use SPSS® to analyse time-to-event data, in particular to:
Describe time-to-event data appropriately, and estimate a survival curve
Compare survival in two or more groups
Use Cox regression to adjust

How will I be assessed?

No assessment. You will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.
