Please See Below For Course Information On 'IRATA Rope Access - all levels'

Overview

Rope access is an advanced technique utilising a twin rope system as a form of work positioning. Initially developed from the caving and climbing world is now used in an industrial form as a means of gaining access to difficult areas. The technique has proved itself to be a useful and cost effective method. The course is structured to ensure that candidates are fully competent in all techniques used at this level, including simple rescue techniques.

Who is it for?

Candidates should have a good level of fitness and a tolerance for working at height. The minimum age for Irata training is 18 years old.

What will i learn?

Our work at height courses have been designed to ensure that whatever the level of climber be it occasional or advanced, candidates will be familiarised with emergency procedures highlighting not only falling but post fall complications and the need for rapid rescue.

How will i be assessed?

A practical assessment and a short multi choice question paper will be examined by an independant IRATA assessor. Following successful assessment on completion of the course candidates will receive a cover note of their qualification and within six weeks an Irata certificate and ID card. The Irata log book will be signed by the qualifying assessor on the day of assessment.
