Who is it for?

This course has been re-designed in order to be more relevant to specific business environments and is suitable for those working in food businesses at a managerial level and responsible for the planning and implementation of a cost-effective food hygiene programme and training. The course is also aimed at people who wish to progress and train in levels one and two food safety qualifications.

What will I learn?

On completing candidates will be able to:

*Identify further technical knowledge necessary in complex processes

How will I be assessed?

Part 1:
An assignment to be completed under examination conditions during the morning. The time frame given will be 2 hours. Candidates are required to prepare a scoping document for use with their assignment.
Part 2:
An examination consisting of a 2½ hour written paper during the afternoon.

Additional Notes

The duration of the course is 36 hours (6 days) and is usually run over 2 - 3 weeks and the examination on the last day. We aim to start at 9.00am each day and taking into account time for refreshment and lunch breaks, finish around 4.30pm each day. We would recommend that candidates take the CIEH Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering, Retail or Manufacturing, prior to this course as well as some practical experience of working in the food industry.
