Who is it for?

This course is aimed at proprietors of small businesses, managers, supervisors, team leaders and anyone else who has a responsibility for the health and safety of others in the workplace. It is also appropriate for those who are considering progressing on to the Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace.

What will I learn?

How will I be assessed?

There is a 60 question multiple-choice test and candidates are required to achieve 40 correct answers in order to receive a Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace. Candidates who achieve a score of 50 or more will be awarded a merit certificate.

Travel Information

We are located on the 1st floor above DLK Furnishings on the corner of Stroud Road, opposite Burger King and Toys R Us. Car parking is available at the back of our premises; this can be accessed by turning off the Bristol Road into Trier Way. After just 50 yards, turn right through a gate where it says Oriental Wholesale. Then turn sharp right where our car parking spaces are situated. Our office is located through the gate on the left handside. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN TOYS R US CAR PARK.

Additional Notes

The duration of the course is 18 hours (3 days) and can be run up to one day a week over 3 weeks, with the examination on the afternoon of the third day. We aim to start the course at 9.00am each day and therefore taking into account time for refreshment and lunch breaks, the course usually finishes around 5.30pm each day. It would be an advantage, but not essential, to have taken the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace prior to attending this course.
