Overview

Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, it is no longer the Fire Service’s duty to
make sure the workplace is safe. That duty lies with ‘the responsible person’ and they will be held
accountable under the new legislation. The Level 2 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment provides
formal recognition of an individual’s ability to undertake a fire risk assessment in line with the
Health and Safety Executive’s guidance. Accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority
(QCA) at Level 2 in the National Qualifications Framework.
