Overview

A one-day course providing a basic introduction
to safety for all levels of personnel

Who is it for?

Staff in any organisation, including:
■ Trainees
■ Machine and process operators
■ Office and other non-industrial staff
■ First-line supervisors who have no formal
safety training

What will i learn?

Successful participants will be able to:
■ Identify hazards and evaluate risks
■ Use appropriate precautions for specific
risks or seek advice on precautions
■ Assist managers in preparing written risk
assessments
■ Follow their organisation’s safety policy
■ Co-operate and communicate on health
and safety matters
■ Carry out activities without risk
■ Report relevant accidents and incidents,
monitor their own activities and assist
managers in active monitoring
