A four-day course providing qualification in safety and
health for managers

Who is it for?

Supervisors and managers who are:
■ Required to manage efficiently and
effectively in accordance with the
organisation’s safety policy and safety
legislation
■ Manage so as not to endanger their
workforce, other people, the environment
or the physical assets of the organisation

What will i learn?

Successful participants will be able to:
■ Apply basic management principles to
health and safety issues
■ Set achievable health and safety objectives
and develop a plan to achieve them
■ Recognise health and safety hazards
■ Carry out risk assessments of workplace
hazards and recommend suitable controls
■ Take account of risks arising from
ergonomic factors
■ Ensure that adequate information, training
and supervision is provided to employees
■ Investigate an accident or incident
involving injury or damage to determine
the cause and take appropriate actions
