Overview

A one day course that reviews best practice in dealing with absence and includes strategies and policies to put in place that make a real difference.

Who is it for?

This training course is for anyone who line manages one or more member of staff. Absence can be one the biggest costs to a business but it is still an area that is neglected by Management teams due to a lack of knowledge or apprehension about handling staff with high absence levels. This course aims to highlight how absence levels can be reduced in a fair and legal way. It offers practical solutions alongside the legal parameters.

What will i learn?

By the end of the training delegates will: • Understand the business implications and costs of high absence levels • Understand the differences between the various types of absence and have the knowledge and confidence to deal with each • Understand what should be included in a company absence policy, and how to communicate the policy to staff in a way that won't create apprehension or bad feeling • Have knowledge of real life cases that have been handled well, and not!
